A Note About Our Natural Fur

The natural fur used in Pritti Kitti toys is thoughtfully and responsibly sourced. Depending on the product, it comes either from recycled vintage fur coats or as a by-product of the meat industry. I do not believe in waste, and wherever possible, I believe in making respectful use of materials that already exist.

No animal is sourced or dispatched specifically to make a Pritti Kitti cat toy. When fur or hide comes from the meat industry, using what remains means more of the animal is put to purpose rather than simply discarded.

Cats are natural hunters, and the scent, texture and movement of genuine fur can be incredibly stimulating to them. It appeals to instincts that synthetic materials simply cannot completely replicate, which is why natural fur toys are so enthusiastically loved by many cats.

I understand that the use of genuine fur is not for everyone, and I respect that choice. For me, using recycled and by-product materials is about reducing waste, respecting the animal by using what is available, and creating something purposeful from a material that might otherwise be thrown away.
